About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Pipefitter Trainee to join our team at B & I Contractors, Inc. As a Pipefitter Trainee, you will assist our experienced Foremen and Journeymen in the layout, assembly, and installation of mechanical systems and accessories.

Key Responsibilities
  • Material Management: Sort and organize materials, assemble and seal ductwork, and load, transport, and unload materials as needed.
  • Installation Support: Assist installation crews as a ground man, cranking the winch on the duct lift, and positioning and securing materials and work pieces during installation.
  • Tool Maintenance: Perform minor maintenance and cleaning of journeyman's tools and equipment.
  • General Labor: Clean the work area, restock supplies and materials, and perform other routine duties as directed by an experienced tradesperson.
Requirements
  • Education: Technical Trade School completion or undergoing Apprentice Program preferred, GED or High School graduate required.
  • License: Must have a Valid driver's License.
  • Skills: Ability to follow specific directions, perform a variety of duties, and work within standards.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to walk, stand, sit, stoop, kneel, climb stairs/ladders, reach overhead, and maneuver up to fifty (50) pounds.
