Position Overview:

The Senior Tax Consultant will be instrumental in delivering high-quality services to our clients and enhancing the firm's success. This role includes the opportunity to manage a substantial client portfolio while contributing to the growth of the firm through the establishment of new client relationships and the expansion of existing ones.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the review and management of tax engagements, including compliance, strategic planning, and research;
  • Manage monthly billing processes;
  • Take full responsibility for directing engagements and special projects;
  • Provide support and assistance to partners and colleagues;
  • Facilitate the development and training of junior and senior tax accountants through hands-on experience;
  • Review work prepared by client personnel;
  • Collaborate closely with clients' internal accounting teams;
  • Identify when assistance is required and seek support from peers and partners, while also recognizing tax planning opportunities;
  • Guide junior and senior professionals while taking direction from peers and partners;
  • Maintain confidentiality and discretion, while building strong relationships with clients, executives, and other key stakeholders;
  • Report to the lead partner of the Tax Department and supervise assigned staff.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting;
  • Active CPA designation at the managerial level;
  • A minimum of five years of tax experience in public accounting;
  • Experience with Non-Profits and 990 Filings is preferred;
  • Expertise in flow-through entities and individual taxation;
  • Familiarity with software programs such as RIA Checkpoint, UltraTax, AdvanceFlow, or similar applications is advantageous.
