The University of Missouri School of Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Traumatologist to join our esteemed team at Cox Health in Springfield, Missouri.
About the Position:
We are anchored by the Missouri Orthopaedic Institute (MOI), the largest and most comprehensive freestanding orthopaedic center in the region.
Key Highlights:
- Collaborate with a team of 5 Orthopaedic Traumatologists, handling over 110,000 ER visits per year with more than 3,000 trauma activations annually.
- Enjoy the benefits of an academic center appointment at a large level 1 trauma hospital.
- Participate in a call split of 1 out of 6 weekends and 1 day per week.
- Have access to 13 dedicated orthopaedic trauma ORs per week, with protected OR time on weekends.
- Benefit from 24/7 first call coverage by a team of 10 full-time APCs or residents.
- Work closely with a team of Trauma ACS surgeons for full-time support and coverage.
- Contribute to a large volume of complex trauma cases, including pelvis/acetabular cases, peri-articular fractures, periprosthetic fractures, and care for the multiply injured patient.
- Teach and mentor residents, orthopaedic trauma fellows, PA students, and medical students.
- Develop strong relationships with other services, including Trauma ACS, Vascular, Urology, and more.
