Federal Work Study- Surgical Oncology Research Assistant

This is a summer research opportunity for medical students to work on a systematic review. The student will collaborate with their mentor to develop a Prospero protocol, conduct a literature search based on PRISMA 2020 guidelines, collect relevant data, and gain a solid understanding of statistical analysis. Additionally, the student will learn the steps of writing a manuscript. Regular check-ins will be held between the student and mentor through remote meetings or email as needed. A detailed timeline, weekly plan, and expected outcomes will be designed and discussed. Faculty and student will address any issues that arise as necessary.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a current student enrolled at State University of New York Upstate Medical University and approved for financial aid through the Student Financial Aid office at Upstate.
Work Details:
Work Days: Salary Range/Pay Rate: $17/hour
