About the Role:

The Custodial Services Associate will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organization in all areas of the school, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and common areas.
  • Performing routine cleaning tasks, such as emptying trash, recycling, and compost bins, and restocking supplies.
  • Operating and maintaining various cleaning equipment and machinery, including vacuums, mops, and floor polishers.
  • Responding to spills, accidents, and other incidents that may occur during school hours.
  • Assisting with special events and projects, such as concerts, plays, and sports tournaments.

The successful candidate will also be required to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Education and Experience:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Post-secondary training in a trade, such as custodial services or facilities management, is preferred.
  • Custodial and/or building maintenance experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and to adapt to changing situations.
  • Physical stamina to perform routine cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Salary:

$50,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
