Overview:
Woolpert, Inc. is in search of a seasoned Senior Project Architect to take charge of our architecture team in Indianapolis. This role involves collaboration with essential project stakeholders, including clients, engineering teams, and municipal entities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead projects by coordinating with internal architects, engineers, and support personnel from the initial design phase through to construction administration, leveraging the capabilities of our support teams.
Deliver project planning, design, and construction administration services, ensuring direct engagement with clients, consultants, and contractors across various project types, including Mixed-Use/Multifamily, Hospitality, and Commercial/Retail.
Develop, mentor, and oversee a team of architects, engineers, and production staff.
This position offers a licensed architect the chance to spearhead renovation and new construction designs for diverse project categories, including multifamily, hospitality, and public sector projects.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
A licensed architect with NCARB certification is required.
A Bachelor's degree in architecture coupled with 4-8 years of relevant work experience.
Candidates must be mentally and physically capable of fulfilling all essential duties associated with this role.
Familiarity with Building Industry Consulting Service International, American National Standards Institute/Telecommunications Industry Association, International Building Code, Unified Facilities Criteria, and National Fire Protection Association codes and standards is essential.
Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to apply concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
Excellent communication and technical skills are crucial, along with a strong team-oriented mindset.
Ability to effectively address sensitive inquiries from clients, regulatory bodies, and/or business community members.
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam is necessary.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams, etc.) is expected.
