Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paraprofessional to join our team at Klamath Falls City Schools. As a Paraprofessional, you will play a vital role in supporting our teachers and students in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers with instructional material and support students with their academic needs.
  • Work with small groups of students to reinforce their classroom program and provide additional support.
  • Perform clerical and record-keeping tasks to support the Title I Program.
  • Assist with student supervision, both in and out of the classroom.
  • Other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or Title I Supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Associate's degree or pass paraprofessional skills testing prior to employment.
  • Experience working with children.
  • Ability to organize and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to follow directions and learn new procedures.
  • Ability to provide care for students' physical needs.
  • Ability to project a friendly and supportive attitude.
  • Ability to obtain a CPR and First Aid training certification.
  • Attend NVCPI Training.
  • Ability to learn and follow delegable medical procedures.
  • Proven work ethic.
  • Successful completion of Oregon School-based fingerprinting and criminal history verification as deemed by State of Oregon legislation.
  • The employee is expected to be dressed and groomed in a neat, clean, and appropriate professional manner for the assignment and work setting.
