Position Overview

The Vascular Ultrasound Specialist is responsible for conducting various diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including Echocardiograms, Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEE), Stress Echocardiograms, and Doppler studies of the Arteries and Carotids.

This role requires a commitment to patient care, involving thorough assessment, continuous observation, and precise documentation of patient information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct ultrasonic diagnostic procedures as per physician orders.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and proper routing of examination data.
  • Provide clear explanations of procedures to patients to facilitate cooperation and achieve optimal results.
  • Maintain compliance with established hospital policies, quality assurance protocols, and safety standards.
  • Assist in the upkeep of diagnostic equipment and manage inventory of necessary supplies.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and continuous education to stay updated with industry practices.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and regulatory compliance activities.
Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an accredited Echocardiography program with certification (ARDMS or CCI) is essential.

Experience: Previous experience in performing Echocardiogram testing is preferred.

Certifications: A valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
