Position Overview

Peraton is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to support our operations in the Deep Space Network (DSN) program. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our electrical systems that facilitate interplanetary communication and exploration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct routine maintenance on electrical distribution systems, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs on various electrical equipment.
  • Oversee the installation of new electrical systems and components.
  • Utilize technical drawings and diagnostic tools to resolve issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and technical data analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill operational requirements.
  • Execute additional tasks as assigned.
Work Environment:
  • Office and warehouse settings.
  • Physical demands include lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Work may involve climbing and exposure to high noise levels.
  • Outdoor tasks in varying weather conditions.
  • Extended periods of standing or sitting may be required.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree with 0-2 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma with at least 6 years in the electrical field.
  • Completion of an electrical safety program compliant with OSHA and NFPA standards.
  • Proven experience in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including climbing.
  • Must pass a background check and national criminal information check.
Preferred:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Safety-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
