Radiologic Technologist Specialist III

As a Radiologic Technologist Specialist III, you will be responsible for performing a diverse range of radiographic procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions. This role requires a high level of independent judgment, creativity, and initiative to effectively utilize ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes. You will operate both automated and manual imaging equipment during the selection of techniques and imaging processes.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring the highest standards of patient care, dignity, and comfort, thereby supporting the overarching goals of the healthcare facility.
Qualifications Required- Education: Completion of formal training in an accredited Radiologic Technology program is essential.
- Certification: Active registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is mandatory, with ongoing education to maintain this status.
- Experience: A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant clinical experience is preferred.
- Licenses: Active Advanced ARRT registration, along with state licensure, is required.
- CPR Certification: Basic CPR certification is necessary.
Your primary duties will include:
- Contributing to departmental goals and adhering to established policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Maintaining compliance with governmental regulations and accreditation standards.
- Demonstrating comprehensive knowledge and clinical proficiency across multiple imaging modalities, including the preparation and administration of contrast agents as directed by Radiologists.
- Executing high-quality imaging procedures safely and effectively, ensuring proper labeling and patient communication.
- Ensuring patient identification through two identifiers (Name & DOB) while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
- Exhibiting the ability to provide radiological services tailored to various patient demographics, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Completing examination documentation in the Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), ensuring all images are processed and available for interpretation.
- Maintaining cleanliness and organization of departmental facilities in line with infection control policies.
- Performing routine tasks independently while knowing when to escalate issues to supervisory staff.
