Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Pathologist to join our team at the Arizona Official Website of State of Arizona. As a Speech Pathologist, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and providing direct intervention with students to treat speech, voice, fluency, and language disorders in students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a variety of speech and language treatment plans to meet the unique needs of students.
  • Administer and screen speech and language assessments to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Screen, evaluate, and write comprehensive reports on evaluated students to inform IEP development.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement IEPs.
  • Provide direct therapy and instruction to students to improve communication skills.
  • Develop and implement a variety of therapy and instructional strategies to meet the needs of students.
  • Consult with staff and parents regarding speech and language needs of students.
  • Participate in MIPS (Medicaid in Public Schools) as directed.
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Speech Pathology.
  • AzDHS Speech-Language Pathology License.
  • Current Arizona Department of Education Certificate as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Current ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) Certificate with Certificate (CCC) of Clinical Competence or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • AHCCCS number for Medicaid billing within four months of hire.
  • Ability to pass FBI and State background check of Fingerprint Clearance Card as position requires by policy or Statute.
