Key Responsibilities- Assist the Registered Professional Nurse in planning and executing surgical procedures, including setting up the operating room and handling sterile equipment.
- Provide exceptional patient care and maintain a positive and professional atmosphere during surgical procedures.
- Participate in maintaining accurate records and reports, including sponge and needle counts and specimen handling.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe surgical procedures.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized operating room environment.
- Participate in continuing education programs and mandatory in-services to enhance professional growth and development.
- High school education or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years' pertinent experience.
- Surgical Technologist Certification or LPN license and registration.
- Certification in A.S.T. preferred.
- Excellent physical and mental health.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
