Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Registered Professional Nurse in planning and executing surgical procedures, including setting up the operating room and handling sterile equipment.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and maintain a positive and professional atmosphere during surgical procedures.
  • Participate in maintaining accurate records and reports, including sponge and needle counts and specimen handling.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe surgical procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining a clean and organized operating room environment.
  • Participate in continuing education programs and mandatory in-services to enhance professional growth and development.
Requirements
  • High school education or equivalent.
  • Minimum of two years' pertinent experience.
  • Surgical Technologist Certification or LPN license and registration.
  • Certification in A.S.T. preferred.
  • Excellent physical and mental health.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
