The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct nursing care to patients in the Intermediate Care Unit at Las Palmas Medical Center. This role requires a strong foundation in critical care nursing, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with the healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient vital signs.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- RN licensure in Texas or compact state.
- BCLS and ACLS certifications.
- Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN.
- Experience as a RN in Critical Care.
- Experience as a RN 1-2 years in Med-Surg or Telemetry.
- TNCC and CCRN Certification.
- Effective communication skills; both orally and written.
- Basic Computer skills and proficiency.
