Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the proper handling of instruments and equipment.
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to ensure seamless patient care and efficient surgical workflows.
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, providing emotional support and addressing patient concerns.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives, enhancing patient safety and satisfaction.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or military Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
- NCCT or NBSTSA certification required; 6-12 months of prior experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, prioritizing patient needs and delivering exceptional care.
