Ideal Candidate: The successful applicant will possess expertise in concrete finishing, concrete carpentry, and formwork construction, while demonstrating a positive attitude and a strong work ethic. All driving responsibilities will be local within the designated operational areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport heavy machinery, raw materials, and goods to and from job sites.
- Secure all loads in compliance with TxDot regulations.
- Conduct thorough inspections of loads before and after transport to ensure quality.
- Maintain constant communication with site supervisors to facilitate timely equipment pickup and delivery.
- Monitor and adhere to all safety regulations while driving.
- Review load-related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Inspect vehicles to confirm that mechanical and safety equipment is functioning properly.
Qualifications:
- Valid CDL with Hazmat endorsement and a current medical card.
- Prior experience in a construction environment is essential.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and navigate rough terrain.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, and climbing throughout the day.
- Capability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods.
Additional Information:
As a condition of employment, candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screening and physical examination. Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license are required at the time of application.
