Maintenance Planner/Scheduler Job Description

Wood plc is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner/Scheduler to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing maintenance schedules to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance Scheduling: Develop and implement daily work schedules to secure adequate resources for preventative, predictive, and planned maintenance.
  • Audit and Resource Management: Audit assignments and resources to ensure repair schedules and performance expectations are met, including maintenance and operations staff, materials, documents, work orders, change orders, and necessary approvals.
  • Equipment Management: Maintain all system equipment records in our CMMS and ensure all maintenance work, including planned and unplanned work, is scheduled through the CMMS.
  • Record Keeping: Ensure all labor hours, materials, and necessary notes or procedural changes associated with the work are accurately recorded within the CMMS and work is closed in a timely manner.
  • Maintenance Coordination: Manage and schedule maintenance activities such as mechanical integrity inspections, instrument calibrations, and equipment preventive maintenance and validation assessments, along with coordinating project workload.
  • Communication: Prepare and maintain a weekly maintenance schedule, advise when a scheduled maintenance downtime should be rescheduled, and communicate and coordinate new plans with operations and maintenance teams.
  • Safety and Quality: Ensure safe work practices are implemented at all times, report any safety issues or problems to the supervisor and EHS Manager immediately, and support all company safety, health, environmental, and quality programs and policies.
Qualifications:
  • CMMS Experience: 2 years of experience with CMMS system software required.
  • Maintenance Experience: 3-5 years of maintenance experience preferred.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Must be accurate and detail-oriented, with general parts, electrical, welding, and mechanical equipment understanding, computer skills, and experience with inventory management. OSHA knowledge beneficial.
  • Background Check: All offers of employment subject to passing of drug/alcohol screening, background check, and/or fit test if required.
