Citadel Care Centers - Speech Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist will diagnose and treat speech and language problems in a Skilled Nursing Facility environment. This role requires a Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current licensure in Florida.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate residents/patients referred by physicians and develop treatment programs with functional long- and short-term goals.
  • Provide treatment as ordered by attending physicians, interpreting and exercising proper treatment programs.
  • Observe, record, and report resident/patient reactions to therapy programs and changes in condition.
  • Instruct and supervise residents/patients and family/caregivers on Speech therapy procedures.
  • Participate in staff development and in-service education programs.
  • Supervise CFYs as per ASHA guidelines.
  • Adhere to facility and company standards of care and ethics.
  • Meet productivity and utilization expectations.
  • Complete timely clinical documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year
  • Current Speech-Language Pathology licensure in Florida
