Job Summary

The Complimentary Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests in a timely and courteous manner. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Approach all interactions with guests and colleagues in a friendly, courteous, and service-oriented manner.
  • Maintain regular attendance and adhere to hotel standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Provide exceptional service to guests with all food and beverage requirements, including clearing, cleaning, and resetting tables as needed.
  • Prepare buffet stations for food setup, ensuring that all necessary items are stocked and available.
  • Accommodate special requests made by guests or offer alternative solutions.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, as well as side work duties, according to station rotation assignment.
  • Ensure that tables and side stands are kept stocked, tidy, and clean at all times.
  • Be familiar with the organization of Marriott International Hotels and understand the function of each department.
  • Attend meetings as required by management.
  • Perform any other duties as requested by management.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic functions.
  • Maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
Work Environment

This is a part-time position, requiring weekend availability. The work schedule will vary according to the needs of the hotel.
