Wendover Management, LLC is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Arive Housing 850, a 140-bed student housing community in Tallahassee, Florida.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, common areas, parking lot/garage, and other community buildings.
  • Remove trash from office areas and community perimeter daily and from trash chutes to compactor daily or more.
  • Prepare make-ready units, including trash removal from vacant apartments prior to make-ready.
  • Assist the Maintenance Supervisor/Property Manager and/or perform assigned maintenance tasks in a timely manner.
  • Clean available apartments and/or models.
  • Troubleshoot/repair of mechanical, carpentry, and electrical problems, including HVAC.
  • Report any maintenance concerns for repairs on available apartments, models, clubhouse, and/or common areas to the Property Manager.
  • Maintain curb appeal of community.
  • Assist office personnel with other various tasks required.
  • Assist with hazardous weather problems, fires, floods, etc.
  • Maintain overall organization and cleanliness of work areas and maintenance shop.
  • Report to the Property Manager.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; previous experience is preferred.
  • Light carpentry, drywall repair, and texture; painting.
  • Computer literacy is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Outstanding customer service and embracing a shared responsibility environment.
  • Must be fully vaccinated and be able to provide documentation upon hire or be able to provide a completed request for a medical or religious accommodation.

Working Conditions/Environment/Physical Demands:

  • The Service Technician position is a full-time position; may be called upon to work after hours and on weekends. A rotating on-call schedule may be required.
  • Working conditions will be outside as well as indoors.
  • Physical demands will require but not be limited to the mobility to effectively complete job requirements.
