Job Description

Teds Body Shop Inc is seeking an experienced Automotive Repair Estimator to join our team.

Job Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Conducting thorough visual inspections of damaged vehicles to assess the extent of damage and required repairs.
  • Preparing accurate and detailed repair estimates using estimating software and manual calculations.
  • Interacting with customers to explain repair procedures, provide cost estimates, and address concerns.
  • Collaborating with insurance adjusters to ensure accurate and timely claims processing.
  • Coordinating with the parts department to ensure timely availability of required parts for repairs.
  • Providing technical guidance to technicians and other team members regarding repair methods and procedures.
  • Maintaining accurate records of estimates, repair details, and communication with customers and insurers.
  • Reviewing completed repairs to ensure they align with estimates and meet quality standards.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent; formal training or certification in automotive estimating is preferred.
  • Proven experience as an estimator, with at least one year of relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in using estimating software and tools.
  • Solid understanding of automotive repair processes, parts, and labor requirements.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent precision and accuracy in estimating vehicle damage.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting with customers, team members, and insurance providers.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $55,000 per year, plus benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
