Position: Millwright Foreman
Overview: We are seeking a skilled Millwright Foreman to oversee a project in DeSoto, KS. This role is crucial for ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and analyze blueprints and schematic drawings to determine the necessary work procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of assigned craft personnel.
- Ensure compliance with specifications, blueprints, and job orders relevant to the area of supervision.
- Communicate company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations diligently.
- Establish and modify work sequences to align with the construction schedule, utilizing knowledge of equipment capacities and personnel assignments.
- Evaluate schedules and estimate the worker-hour requirements for job completion.
- Identify and resolve work-related issues effectively.
- Maintain accurate time records for all personnel.
- Adhere to precise standards of accuracy in all tasks.
- Make informed decisions based on measurable data.
- Recognize and respond to hazardous conditions or situations promptly.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of the work area, equipment, tools, and employees to ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations.
- Possess appropriate journeyman experience.
- Exhibit regular attendance and punctuality.
- Be prepared for potential travel as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Complete all required safety and general job training as mandated by the company.
- Consistently observe safety and quality processes and procedures.
Physical and Job Site Requirements:
- Ability to utilize all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and lift up to fifty pounds.
- Work conditions may include office environments, shops, busy traffic areas, warehouses, and undeveloped properties, with frequent exposure to dirt, dust, grease, oil, vibrations, and varying weather conditions.
- Must safely access all areas of properties, buildings, structures, rooftops, and confined spaces.
- Physical demands include the ability to stand for extended periods, bend frequently, and work in confined spaces with limited access.
- Capable of operating all necessary equipment and tools safely.
