As a CBU Operations Manager at Clean Earth, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the operational efficiency of our facility. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of essential functions aimed at maintaining compliance and ensuring the safe handling of materials.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure adherence to start-up and shut-down protocols as outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
2. Monitor cleanliness and compliance with permit requirements related to the Waste Analysis Plan (WAP).
3. Uphold facility permits and ensure compliance with DOT, RCRA, and OSHA regulations.
4. Supervise traffic management for the CBU and surrounding areas.
5. Assign and oversee daily dump reports while maintaining accurate production logs.
6. Coordinate and schedule outbound disposal truck operations.
7. Assist with rail car movements on-site and ensure proper lining.
8. Verify that all trucks and railcars are loaded and unloaded in accordance with state and federal regulations.
9. Ensure all shipping documentation is completed accurately and that trucks comply with DEP/DOT regulations.
10. Act as Scale Operator during truck load-out processes.
11. Track waste movements in and out of the facility.
12. Ensure that sampling of pits is conducted as per WAP and delivered to the lab daily.
13. Collaborate with management to ensure waste disposal complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
14. Order necessary supplies for waste treatment and solidification.
15. Review QA/QC reports from the lab to assess material specifications and manage processing in individual pits.
16. Operate equipment such as TrackMobile, Front End Loader, and Roll-off truck as required.
17. Train and evaluate the performance of team members.
18. Communicate any off-specification materials to management.
19. Conduct toolbox talks and perform area inspections.
20. Liaise with plant management to achieve daily operational goals.
21. Undertake additional tasks as assigned by management.
