Aequor Technologies is a premier healthcare and education staffing company, committed to connecting skilled professionals with rewarding career opportunities. Our mission is to provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Stepdown Unit, focusing on those who are critically ill but stable enough to leave the intensive care unit.
Job Responsibilities
As a Registered Nurse in our Progressive Care Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients, monitoring their vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall condition, and promptly identifying and addressing any changes in status. You will administer medications, including IV drips and infusions, as prescribed by physicians, and perform complex nursing procedures. You will also assist with the transition of patients from the ICU to the PCU/Stepdown unit, ensuring continuity of care and smooth handoff. You will collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. You will educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and discharge planning, promoting understanding and compliance. You will perform regular assessments and document patient information accurately, maintaining up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory standards. You will respond to emergencies and provide immediate care, utilizing critical thinking skills to evaluate patient needs and make informed decisions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a current RN state license in good standing, a minimum of 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Stepdown Unit, or related critical care nursing field, and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). You will also need to have strong knowledge of critical care nursing practices, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac care, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will need to be able to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments, and have strong organizational skills and attention to detail. You will also need to have a compassionate and patient-focused approach to care, and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Benefits
Aequor Technologies offers a range of benefits to our employees, including tax-free housing and meal stipend, first-day health insurance coverage, weekly direct deposit, sick days/PTO, travel reimbursement, 401k eligibility after the first year, credentialing assistance, CEU/Tuition reimbursement, and professional development opportunities.
