Aircraft Technician II Job Description

Job Summary:


Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Technician II to join our team. As an Aircraft Technician II, you will be responsible for performing complex aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with minimal supervision.


Key Responsibilities:



  2. Inspect and Repair Aircraft Systems: Perform thorough inspections of aircraft systems, identify defects, and repair or replace components as needed.

  3. Coordinate with Teams: Collaborate with Maintenance Team Leaders, Shift Technicians, and the Inspection Department to ensure compliance with internal and FAA inspection and documentation requirements.

  4. Ensure Quality Standards: Ensure that all work accomplished meets quality standards and specifications.

  5. Identify and Store Customer Property: Properly identify and store customer property and equipment.

  6. Operate Ground Support Equipment: Follow standard operating procedures when operating ground support equipment.

  7. Coordinate Aircraft Movement: Coordinate, accomplish, and assist with aircraft movement in hangar and ramp areas.

  8. Provide Training: Provide training to less experienced technicians.

Additional Responsibilities:



  2. Implement Lean Initiatives: Apply 6S and Lean Initiatives to keep shops, hangars, and aircraft work areas clean and uncluttered.

  3. Use Company-Provided Tools: Properly use and maintain Company-provided tools and equipment.

  4. Comply with Safety Rules: Comply with safety rules and procedures, use protective equipment as required, and be alert for unsafe conditions.

  5. Use Material Tracking System: Use the material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks, and sign-offs, and to charge labor to correct work orders.

  6. Support Aircraft Certification: In support of aircraft certification and final phase testing, may include flight tests on aircraft as required.

Requirements:



  2. Working Knowledge: Working knowledge of the FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures.

  3. Language Skills: Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
