Electronic Manufacturing Quality Assurance Professional Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electronics Test Technician to join our team at BSU Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electronics testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic circuit boards. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our electronic products.

Responsibilities:

  • Test and troubleshoot electronic assemblies using test equipment such as meters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
  • Repair and replace faulty components on electronic assemblies.
  • Participate in functional verification and acceptance of board and subassembly test fixtures.
  • Operate flying probe and AOI board verification test instruments.
  • Analyze and report data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve production efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  1. Familiarity with electronics components, including resistors, capacitors, diodes, inductors, transistors, ICs, etc.
  2. Ability to read schematics, follow procedures, and apply computer skills to resolve technical problems.
  3. Minimum 5 years of experience in detailed troubleshooting and repair of electronic circuit boards.
  4. Above-average aptitude in reading schematics and troubleshooting circuits: Analog, Digital, Power Supply, and High Voltage.
  5. Experience in troubleshooting and repairing surface mount and through-hole technology board assemblies.
  6. Skill/experience using electronics Test & Measurement Equipment in circuit testing/troubleshooting: Flying Probe, Power Supplies, Signal Generators, Multi-Meters, O-Scopes, etc.
  7. Solid skill in using hand tools in electronic board assembly & repair: soldering irons, solder extractors, heat guns, etc.
