Visiting Instructor

We are seeking qualified individuals to teach undergraduate or graduate courses in the fields of Chemical or Petroleum Engineering. Courses may be delivered in-person, online, or in a hybrid format.
Applications will be reviewed and placed in a pool for consideration for part-time teaching roles as needed.
Applications will be accepted continuously. Appointments are for one semester and may be renewable, subject to review and available funding. Candidates must possess the necessary authorization to work in the U.S. prior to employment commencement. All employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check.
Job Responsibilities- 40% - Develop and deliver lectures and instructional materials for undergraduate courses in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering, following the approved course syllabi.
- 40% - Conduct office hours, design and oversee laboratory sessions, projects, and examinations as relevant to the course.
- 20% - Evaluate student laboratories, projects, and exams, and/or supervise grading assistants and teaching aides.
Candidates for undergraduate courses must hold an earned Master's or Doctorate degree in Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a closely related scientific discipline.
Candidates for graduate courses must possess an earned Doctorate in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering, or an earned Master's degree in these fields along with five years of relevant industrial experience.
Preferred Qualifications- Doctorate in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering
- Over one year of teaching experience at the university level
- Strong communication skills
- Experience in mentoring and advising engineering students
