Position Responsibilities:

As a Cardiology Nurse, you will provide healthcare services to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing. Your role will include:
  1. Delivering and facilitating competent healthcare for patients and families.
  2. Ensuring compliance with established standards of care.
  3. Documenting care accurately and completely.
  4. Providing health education to individuals and groups.
  5. Acting as a mentor and supporting the development of staff and healthcare students.
  6. Leading initiatives aimed at improving care quality and clinical outcomes.
  7. Collaborating with the healthcare team to guide practice.
  8. Executing prescribed treatments and medical interventions.
  9. Performing cardiac stress testing and EKGs.
  10. Managing patient communications and follow-ups.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
  • Registered Professional Nurse (RN) License in Illinois upon hire.
  • Completion of required continuing education regarding acute stroke patient care.

Skills and Knowledge:

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
  • Clinical competencies in direct patient care and education.
  • Leadership and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
