Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Global AMHS Design Engineer to join our team at Micron Technology. As a key member of our FE Automation Team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing next-generation AMHS systems for our global manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and implementation of OHT (Over Head Transport) layouts using AutoCAD.
  • Manage and collaborate with automation vendors to enhance designs and secure required lead times.
  • Engage with the Global AMHS Simulation team to test and validate OHT designs.
  • Participate in design reviews with Micron's Construction, Facilities, and Equipment Layout teams to ensure proper AMHS design and requirements are captured for construction.
  • Provide capital budget forecasts.
  • Serve as a regional first point of contact for Global AMHS Operation and Design teams.
  • Present to large groups, including executive-level leadership.
  • Collect and analyze data to define design criteria, validate designs, and identify system behavior that can be adjusted to improve system performance.
  • Manage a SharePoint portal and maintain a design document repository.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Familiarity with Autodesk AutoCAD (2D/3D).
  • At least 3 years of experience in semiconductor automation or equivalent experience.
  • Management experience of large-scale projects.
Desired Skills
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit/Navisworks.
  • Expert-level proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD (2D/3D) and BIM360/ACC.
