Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technologist to join our team at Healthcare Staffing Plus. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for preparing and sterilizing operating rooms, equipment, and instruments for surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare sterile operating rooms for surgeries, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and medical staff.
  • Sterilize equipment and instruments, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
  • Stock and maintain adequate supplies for surgery, ensuring timely access to necessary materials.
  • Prepare patients for surgery by washing and disinfecting incision sites, promoting a safe and comfortable experience.
  • Provide support during surgery by passing instruments and supplies, working closely with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff.
  • Track and manage surgical supplies, ensuring accurate inventory and minimizing waste.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest surgical technology, medical terminology, and procedures, enhancing your skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate effectively with the surgical team, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • National Institutes of Health (NIH) certification
  • Certified Principal Investigator (CPI) Certification
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong technical skills
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Passionate about patient care
  • Minimum of two years of Certified Surgical Tech experience
  • Graduate from a fully accredited Certified Surgical Tech program
  • Active unencumbered Certified Surgical Tech Indiana state license
  • COVID vaccine with 2 Shots & Booster

  • Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise
