Key Responsibilities
- Essential Duties:
• Foster a culture of trust and respect among team members.- Ensure customers feel valued and appreciated by addressing inquiries about products available in the department and throughout the store.
- Acquire and maintain comprehensive knowledge of products offered in the department to effectively respond to customer questions and provide recommendations.
- Offer product samples to enhance customer discovery of new items or products of interest.
- Inform customers about current promotions and special offers.
- Advise customers on product selections to meet their needs and preferences.
- Monitor product expiration dates and take necessary actions.
- Label, stock, and manage inventory of department merchandise.
- Report any discrepancies in product ordering or shipping to the department leader.
- Exhibit a positive demeanor at all times.
- Stay informed about ongoing, upcoming, seasonal, and special promotions.
- Support safety initiatives by adhering to safety protocols and identifying unsafe conditions to report to management.
- Conduct preventive maintenance by inspecting equipment and notifying the appropriate personnel of any repair needs.
- Alert management to any customer or employee incidents.
- Report all safety hazards, issues, and illegal activities, including theft or fraud.
- Must be capable of performing the essential functions of this role with or without reasonable accommodation.
