Job Description

Overview

TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Med-Surg Ortho RN Manager to join our team. As a key member of our nursing leadership, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Med-Surg Ortho unit, ensuring high-quality patient care and exceptional patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and quality outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop standards and procedures for providing and improving quality patient care.
  • Make recommendations and changes to policies using evidence-based research.
  • Promote strong working relations with other departments in the facility.
  • Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Registered Nurse Practice Act.
  • Utilize therapeutic communication in daily practice.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to assure continuous quality improvement.
  • Promote good public relations for the department and TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality and satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice or approved compact state required.
  • Associate's Degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • 5 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of Charge RN or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 90 days of hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
