Job Title: Surgical Technician

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Technician to join our team at Palo Verde Hematology. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.

Job Summary:

The Surgical Technician will be responsible for preparing and maintaining the sterile field, assisting the surgical team, and providing supportive care to patients during surgery.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain the sterile field in the operating room
  • Assist the surgical team with patient care and surgical procedures
  • Monitor patients during surgery and provide supportive care
  • Collect and label specimens taken during surgical procedures
  • Follow all federal, state, and departmental safety procedures
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Surgical technician certification from an accredited school or training program required
  • 3+ years' experience in a hospital or outpatient operating room
  • First Aid and CPR certification
  • Familiarity with all surgical instruments and equipment
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Working knowledge of sterile and aseptic technique
