Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Thoracic Surgeon to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. As a member of our esteemed medical staff, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

The Thoracic Surgeon will be responsible for leading a team of residents and mid-level providers to cover both inpatient and ambulatory thoracic clinical practices. You will also be expected to attend all thoracic surgery consults in a timely manner, as well as participate in solid tumor conferences and establish a chest multidisciplinary conference.

The ideal candidate will be board certified or board-eligible in Thoracic Surgery and have experience with VATS and robotic-assisted thoracic surgery. Preferred qualifications include boarded in Surgery, training in VATS and robotic-assisted thoracic surgery, and experience with esophageal/foregut cases.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of residents and mid-level providers to cover both inpatient and ambulatory thoracic clinical practices
  • Attend all thoracic surgery consults in a timely manner
  • Attend solid tumor conference every two weeks
  • Establish and direct or co-direct a chest multidisciplinary conference
  • Aggressively work to build the volume of chest surgery cases
Qualifications
  • Board certified or board-eligible in Thoracic Surgery

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Boarded in Surgery
  • Training in VATS and robotic-assisted thoracic surgery
  • Experience with esophageal/foregut cases
