Job Title: Manager of Quality Engineering

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manager of Quality Engineering to join our team at Realtor.com. As a key member of our quality organization, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our quality strategy, developing robust processes, and providing expert leadership to your direct reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Head of Quality to define and execute the quality organization's vision, strategy, and goals.
  • Lead the development of a culture of quality across the organization, emphasizing continuous improvement and proactive quality assurance practices.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations to enhance quality methodologies, tools, and frameworks.
  • Work closely with the Head of Quality to build the quality organization from the ground up, contributing to hiring, onboarding, and team development.
  • Drive the establishment of standardized quality processes, guidelines, and best practices that align with industry standards.
  • Partner with Engineering, Product, and other relevant teams to integrate quality practices seamlessly into the product development process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure quality objectives are aligned with overall business goals.
  • Manage a team of individual contributors, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional growth opportunities.
  • Empower your direct reports to excel in their roles by fostering a culture of learning, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Partner with Engineering Managers to ensure your directs are appropriately skilled and supported for their assigned tasks.
  • Lead your team to develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, ensuring rigorous quality standards are met across the product portfolio.
  • Drive the adoption of automated testing practices, tools, and frameworks to optimize testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record (7+ years) of hands-on experience in quality assurance, software testing, and test automation.
  • Experience (3+ years) in a management role within a quality assurance or quality engineering team.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and influence stakeholders at various levels.
  • Track-record for attracting, organizing and developing high performing, diverse teams
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, test automation, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to build, develop, and mentor high-performing teams.
  • Proficiency in collaborating with cross-functional teams and driving alignment towards quality objectives.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to translate organizational goals into actionable quality strategies.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence and inspire others at all levels of the organization.
