IRISNDT is actively seeking dedicated NDT Assistants to support our team in the Mandan, ND region. This role involves assisting experienced NDT Technicians in conducting non-destructive testing of various materials while gaining the necessary training to become a Certified Technician.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the setup and calibration of NDT equipment under the guidance of a Certified Technician.
- Support NDT Technicians in executing essential inspections.
- Provide assistance to Radiographers in the radiographic examination of piping and equipment.
- Help ensure accurate documentation and reporting of inspection findings.
- Familiarize yourself with the necessary codes and procedures for conducting tests.
- Perform additional job-related tasks as directed by management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid Driver's License and successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing are mandatory.
- Background checks will be conducted prior to employment.
- Completion of a 40-hour Radiation Safety Training course is required.
- Possession of a Radiographer state card is advantageous.
- Previous NDT training and experience are preferred.
- Technical experience is desirable.
- Current SPRAT Rope Access certification is a plus.
- Ability to move, carry, and lift objects weighing 50 lbs. or more.
- Capability to walk, stand, bend, reach, and climb as necessary.
- Willingness to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
