Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Controls Engineer to join our team at Actalent. As a Controls Engineer, you will play a critical role in supporting the design, development, testing, and commissioning of controls systems integration projects across the US.

Responsibilities
  • Program PLCs for UPS and Amazon parcel/post sortation and handling equipment
  • Program HMIs as necessary
  • Upgrade and retrofit existing hardware and software
  • Troubleshoot PLC programs and suggest solutions to field issues
  • Investigate system issues and recommend solutions
Requirements
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Material Handling experience required
  • 3+ years of experience designing controls systems, commissioning, and troubleshooting PLC industrial control systems
  • Ability to think quickly and communicate with customers on site if there are any issues
  • Proface HMI programming a plus
Work Environment

This is a fully on-site position in Louisville, Kentucky or Dallas, TX. The position requires some off-shift work to avoid impacting production in the facilities. Travel is expected, with a 10-day on and 4-day off schedule.
