Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Join our team at Coca-Cola Bottling Co as a Laboratory Technician, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our finished beverage products and water treatment.

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for performing tests to ensure product and package quality of finished beverage products are within company quality specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform tests to ensure product and package quality of finished beverage products are within company quality specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Maintain and calibrate lab equipment to ensure measurement accuracy
  • Maintain testing and calibration records and results through data entry into the Lab Data Management System (LDMS)
  • Perform water treatment quality tests following company quality specifications and regulatory requirements
  • Create quality holds on finished beverage products for containment and investigation when quality tests do not meet specifications
Requirements
  • Ability to follow work instructions and adhere to standard operating procedures
  • Understanding of a laboratory environment and laboratory practices preferred
  • Basic microbial knowledge and aseptic techniques
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel experience preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment with seasonal temperatures, flexible shifts, and weekend and holiday work based on business needs unless specified otherwise by a CBA
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time, walk manufacturing floor, climb stairs, and lift up to 25lbs.
Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Knowledge acquired through up to 12 months of work experience

Noisy, wet, and extreme temperature environment
