About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a Mechanical Engineer at Shive-Hattery, you will be responsible for designing and developing building systems, including plumbing, heating, cooling, ventilation, fire protection, building automation, and industrial process systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems for various projects across our market sectors, including government facilities, healthcare, industrial, commercial, and education facilities.
  • Work closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including electrical, structural, architectural, and civil engineers to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • Produce construction drawings using Revit 3D modeling software.
  • Conduct site visits to assist with measuring, data collection, and construction observation duties.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering with an HVAC emphasis from an accredited engineering school.
  • 5-10 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with prior intern experience in HVAC and building systems preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling software, preferably Revit, and experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is desired.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a professional environment.
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively, with attention to engineering detail.
