Job Title: Senior Advanced Mechanical Engineer

Join Light & Wonder, Inc. as a Senior Advanced Mechanical Engineer and be part of our Gaming team, responsible for designing and developing cutting-edge technology, products, and content for the most iconic casinos and operators across the globe.

Job Summary

The Senior Advanced Mechanical Engineer will perform professional work in development, prototype, production, and maintenance of electro-mechanical products in L&W's gaming division. The successful candidate will concentrate on sheet metal, die-castings, and injection molded parts design for new products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design electro-mechanical assemblies, parts, and systems for L&W gaming products.
  • Create parts and assemblies using 3D CAD software, weighing function, cost, serviceability, and manufacturability.
  • Understand diecast design and injection molded part design, as well as the tooling processes associated with those types of parts.
  • Develop mechanical drawings, Bill of Materials, Assembly Procedures, and other documentation for product release.
  • Evaluate prototype products and designs for possible refinement through assembly and test.
  • Initiate and maintain contact with key engineers and officials of other divisions and companies, requiring skill in negotiation and persuasion on critical issues.
  • Apply creativity, foresight, and mature engineering judgment in anticipating and solving problems, determining objectives and requirements, and organizing projects.
  • Mentor or lead lower-level engineers, designers, and technicians.
  • Demonstrate effective and efficient leadership skills.
Requirements
  • 12+ years of experience in mechanical engineering field or related field.
  • Minimum of eight years of design and development of high-level complex mechanical and electro-mechanical components and assemblies.
  • Experience in the Gaming industry.
  • Must be able to obtain a gaming license.
  • Extensive knowledge of theory, principles, and procedures of Mechanical Engineering.
  • Effective and efficient leadership skills.
  • Understanding of 3D CAD systems, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Familiarity with Bill of Materials and manufacturing processes; drafting experience or training required.
  • Knowledge of ECO release process using Agile or other equivalent PLM application.
  • Familiarity with basic shop equipment and hand tools used in assembly of prototypes.
  • Basic Microsoft Office skills.
  • BSME or related field or equivalent work experience.
