Job Opportunity: Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team as a Virtual School Speech-Language Pathologist. This is a remote opportunity that requires a strong background in speech therapy and experience working with students in a virtual setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations to identify speech and language disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Provide virtual therapy sessions using evidence-based practices to improve students' communication skills, articulation, language development, and fluency.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the multidisciplinary team to support students' academic and social-emotional success.
  • Monitor and track students' progress, adjusting therapy goals and interventions as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of assessment results, treatment plans, progress reports, and other relevant records.
  • Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in the field of speech-language pathology.
  • Participate in professional development activities and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Valid license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Michigan.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.
  • Prior experience working as an SLP in a school setting, preferably with virtual or teletherapy experience.
  • Proficiency in using teletherapy platforms and technology tools for remote communication and therapy sessions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, teachers, and colleagues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage caseloads efficiently, and prioritize tasks effectively.
