About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Lead Nurse to join our team at Ochsner LSU Health System of North Louisiana. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented nurse leader to provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the success of our renal unit.
Job Summary
The Clinical Lead Nurse will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care, leading a team of nurses, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to achieve optimal outcomes. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient experiences.
Responsibilities
- Patient Care Leadership
- • Develop and implement nursing plans that align with individual patient needs and goals
- • Provide guidance and support to nursing staff to ensure safe and effective patient care
- • Collaborate with other healthcare teams to promote seamless transitions and continuity of care
- Nursing Team Management
- • Supervise and mentor nursing staff to enhance their clinical skills and professional development
- • Foster a culture of open communication, respect, and teamwork among nursing staff
- • Participate in performance evaluations, coaching, and mentoring of nursing staff
- Clinical Expertise
- • Stay up-to-date with current evidence-based practices and standards of care in renal nursing
- • Apply critical thinking and analytical skills to resolve complex patient care issues
- • Develop and maintain expertise in clinical areas such as hemodialysis, vascular access management, and fluid balance management
- Education and Training
- • Maintain current knowledge of regulatory requirements and accreditation standards relevant to renal nursing
- • Participate in ongoing education and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills and stay current with industry developments
- • Collaborate with educational institutions to develop and deliver continuing education programs for nursing staff
- Salary and Benefits
- This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary range of $83,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

- Requirements
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Minimum 5 years' experience in renal nursing, with at least 2 years' experience in a leadership role
