We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our diagnostic imaging department.
Key Responsibilities:- Position patients, adjust equipment, and secure support devices to perform radiographic procedures.
- Determine appropriate radiographic techniques based on patient anatomy and condition to obtain high-quality images.
- Operate advanced and sophisticated radiology equipment, including CT scanners and MRI machines.
- Assist radiologists with procedures, including specialty procedures, and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure patient safety and quality care by adhering to established safety standards and practices.
- Perform quality control tasks, including checking film quality and labeling, and coordinating patient flow.
- Provide instruction and orientation to new technologists and participate in performance reviews.
- Graduate from an accredited AMA School of Radiology.
- IDNS license and 1-3 years of experience as a general radiographer.
- Certified in radiology and registered by ARRT.
- CPR certification and ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
