We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Landscape Architect to join our professional consulting services team at Stantec. As a senior contributor, you will work independently to manage projects of varying complexity through all phases of a project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate the technical aspects of assigned projects.
  • Support business development initiatives and contribute to the growth of our team.
  • Manage and lead other team members on projects, and perform project management tasks as needed.
  • Prepare plans and reports, write proposals, and monitor project budgets and trends.
  • Ensure effective communication and coordination on projects between stakeholders, including planners, architects, engineers, developers, contractors, and clients.
  • Authority to sign and seal on design/plans and project forms for agencies and RFIs.

Requirements

  • Technical expertise in all relevant areas of design and various design methods.
  • Excellent time management skills and a thorough understanding of task assignment and schedule, budgeting, and efficient use of time and resources.
  • Thorough understanding of codes, legal, and design requirements in relevant jurisdictions.
  • Proficiency in relevant drafting/design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Adobe Acrobat.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Landscape Architecture or related field, and licensed by state/province in Landscape Architecture or equivalent licensure.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in landscape architecture or a related field.
