Customer Service Cashier

The Cashier plays a vital role in delivering exceptional service to customers as they visit the retail establishment. The primary duty of the Cashier is to ensure a positive shopping experience through outstanding customer interactions. Availability during evenings and weekends is necessary.
Compensation:
Hourly Wage: $15.00 - $17.00 (Based on Experience)
Reporting Structure:
A. The Cashier reports to the Store Manager.
B. This position does not include supervisory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
A. Welcome customers upon entry and assist with inquiries.
B. Manage incoming phone calls and respond appropriately.
C. Process customer transactions using the cash register system.
D. Ensure accurate cash handling practices.
E. Price merchandise as directed by management.
F. Restock shelves as needed.
G. Manage customer returns effectively.
Additional Responsibilities:
A. Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
Requirements:
A. Strong customer service skills are essential.
B. Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
C. Capability to stand for extended periods.
D. Frequent bending and twisting are required.
Qualifications:
A. High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
Work Environment:
A. Retail store setting.
B. Exposure to varying temperatures.
C. Flexible work schedule.
