- Medication Administration and Management: Safely administer medications, monitor patient responses, and document therapeutic interventions and regimes.
- Clinical Decision-Making: Participate in collaborative decision-making with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Patient Education and Empowerment: Educate patients and their families on disease management, individual care needs, wellness, and safety issues.
- Team Collaboration and Leadership: Delegate and monitor care rendered by other members of the nursing department and healthcare team, and participate in the orientation and development of new team members.
- Performance Improvement and Quality Assurance: Identify opportunities for improvement and participate in performance improvement activities to enhance patient care and safety.
- Professional Development and Competency: Maintain current professional and departmental level competencies, and stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices and technologies.
- Education and Experience: Associate's degree in Nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred. 0-1 year of experience required, 2-4 years preferred.
- Licensure and Certification: NJ RN License required. Refer to the Educational/Regulatory Requirement (Department Specific) policy in the Nursing Administrative Manual.
