Mainframe Security Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Mainframe Security Expert to join our team at Experis. As a Mainframe Security Expert, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our mainframe systems. This includes implementing and maintaining security protocols, monitoring system activity, and responding to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect mainframe systems

• Monitor system activity to identify potential security threats

• Respond to security incidents in a timely and effective manner

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security best practices are followed

• Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends and technologies

Requirements:

• Strong understanding of mainframe security concepts and technologies

• Experience with ACF2 and RACF security systems

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SMP/E and system utilities

• Knowledge of Assembler Language and ability to develop, maintain, and deploy Assembler code

• Familiarity with BMC and IBM Scheduler software

• Understanding of problem and change management concepts

• Experience working with vendors such as IBM and others

• Strong understanding of SYSPLEX concepts and CPU keys

• Experience working in a virtual team environment and communicating with peers across the country
