Job Title: Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy

ARM Consulting is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director of Government Affairs and Public Policy to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing government affairs and public policy work, overseeing the management of government affairs and public policy work staff, and working closely with the Co-Founder and President to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a government affairs engagement strategy, identifying key stakeholders, developing talking points, and maintaining an understanding of relevant policy and progress to inform engagements.
  • Work with federal and state governments, other policy organizations, contractors, coalitions, and the SCD community to advance our mission.
  • Oversee the management of government affairs and public policy work staff, including staff supervision, team building, and cross-departmental leadership.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including federal agencies, coalitions, contractors, and the SCD community.
  • Stay up-to-date on current and emerging policy around SCD across federal, state, and commercial payers.
  • Communicate government affairs and policy agenda priorities to the SCD Community in partnership with the current program staff, and the SCD Policy Forum and coverage for the SCD Summit.
Requirements:
  • 5-7 years of related work experience in policy, government affairs, with experience on Capitol Hill or Federal preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in Medicaid, Medicare, and regulatory guidance, with a strong understanding of the payer landscape.
  • Demonstrated record of sound political judgment and bipartisanship, with excellent relationship management and staff supervisory skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide analysis and explanations of technical policies in both written and oral format.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong willingness to initiate deadlines and timeframes for assignments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Gsuite, and other relevant software.
  • Self-motivated and possess the ability to work well both independently and within a team.
  • Ability to learn new software and adapt to changing priorities.
Security Clearance Requirement:

An active security clearance may be required for this role. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
