Salary and Benefits

The salary for this part-time instructor position is based on the HutchCC faculty compensation plan. This is a non-benefit eligible position, exempt from benefits.

Job Description

We are seeking a qualified individual to teach transfer courses in one of the following disciplines: Biology, Early Childhood Education, Chemistry, Math, Psychology, Physics – Physical Science, Sociology, Nutrition, Physical Education, or Education.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching assigned courses, planning and implementing engaging activities, maintaining records, and adhering to departmental procedures. Additionally, they will be expected to logon to the learning management system daily, respond to emails regularly, and complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must hold a Master's degree in the relevant discipline or a Master's degree in another field with 18 graduate hours in the particular discipline. College teaching experience is preferred, along with the ability to teach via alternative delivery systems and develop effective professional relationships.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills, visual acuity, and the ability to apply tact and courtesy in difficult situations. They should also be able to learn and comprehend basic instructions about the position and perform physical and mental qualifications with or without reasonable accommodations.

Estimated Salary Range: $25-$40 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
