Data Scientist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Manager and Analyst to join our team at the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies. As a key member of our research team, you will contribute to a range of innovative projects in infectious disease ecology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data management systems to support research projects
• Analyze and interpret complex data sets to inform research findings
• Develop and maintain computational tools and scripts to streamline data analysis
• Collaborate with researchers to identify data needs and develop solutions

Requirements:

• PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant field
• Strong computational skills, including programming languages such as Python or R
• Experience with data management and analysis software, such as SQL or pandas
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
