**Job Title:** Carbon Capture and Sequestration Technology Manager
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carbon Capture and Sequestration Technology Manager to join our team at ADM. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing operational failure/underperformance, identifying efficiency opportunities, and aligning solutions for the ADM Carbon Sequestration facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive compliance with ADM safety, health, quality, and environmental programs and policies
- Foster/execute process optimization improvements contributing to our run rate goals and objectives
- Drive achievement of ADM (Strive 35) sustainability goals (energy/carbon improvements)
- Engage/research/develop, sequestration technologies and resources for targeted deployment, that improve efficiency and increase optimization
- Support plant operations team in their execution efforts related to capture and storage operations including but not limited to injection well permit compliance sampling and reporting activities and subsurface operations maintenance requirements
- Provide subject matter expertise and manage capital projects related to improvements and expansion of the system including equipment selection, design review processes, vendor evaluation and related contractor management
- Coordinate and collaborate with multiple disciplines and various levels of management within Operations (Plant, Reliability, Utilities, EHS, Project Management, Automation) and non-Operations stakeholders (Commercial, Tax, Finance, Accounting, Government Affairs)
Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Engineering, concentration in Chemical, Petroleum, Mechanical or equivalent
- Master's degree (either MBA or Engineering) is a plus
- 10+ years of experience with high pressure compression systems, gas processing equipment and operations, drilling/completion/workover operations, deep-well maintenance, well monitoring equipment (downhole gauges, surface data acquisition, seismic monitoring equipment, DTS/DAS)
- 5+ years of project management experience required (PMP certification is a plus)
- Well Control certification required (or ability to obtain)
- Knowledge of federal Class VI underground injection well program requirements and geotechnical concepts sufficient to support analysis and interpretation requisite monitoring data
- Financial valuation experience rationalizing and evaluating capital investments
- Familiarity with technical aspects of carbon sequestration system construction and operations
- Experience in ADM PE, FEL, and WAVE systems is a plus
- Familiarity with relevant energy, environmental, and tax regulations and related subsidies for carbon markets as well as understanding of California LCFS carbon credits
